Splitcoast challenges...

You probably know that Splitcoaststampers has daily challenges. But did you know that small groups within the community often challenge each other? There are those who are encourage others to send out RAKs, Keep up with the house cleaning, Lose weight, Figure out the meaning behind the tv show "LOST" and many other things. Not too long ago, a few of us stalkers were talking about stamps and stuff. Stargirl won an auction of stamps on ebay. Among the collection was some outdated Stampin Up images. One thing lead to another...and there is a mini challenge going on to use this stamp image in an updated way. I don't know the name of the stamp set but when I do I'll post it...along with the picture. (I didn't take a pix of it before starting on my cards.) Stargirl mailed out 2 images to those who signed up for the challenge. Pattyb is encouraging us and started a thread. Submissions must be up by midnight on the 15th.

This poor little angel girl needed to be a bit more grounded so I clipped her wings. Then using the 2nd image, I made templates to revamp her smock. A lovely origami paper was pulled out for the job. I used the colors from the origami paper for my card...yet, it needed more. So, I made her cheeks a bit more rosy and added the pink ribbon and primas. Squeezed on a bit of gold stickles to the punches, piercings and dimensionals...and Presto Magic...a more modern angel girl.

I really wanted to try this again since I liked the outcome. But I had cut up the other image. What else could I do? I made her clothes into a "Baby Bella." hehe. I think it is darling!!! And might give it to DD. Only she is the one with light colored straight hair and I have the dark colored curly hair.

Either way...I'm blessed to have such fun and challenging cyber friends. To see all the entries, follow this link.
