Ornament Hop!

Please start at The Robin's Nest Blog: Chattering Robins for the complete list of  participants!

I painted gesso onto a tree shape in Smoothfoam for my ornament base.
Then, I painted the sides in blue acrylic paint.
Clear Glitter gives it a snow like appearance.

Before painting, I made a template by tracing my Smoothfoam shape.
I used this template to cut out two tree shapes out of Robin's Nest Glitter Sorbet paper.
Sponge the edges. And used The Best Glue Ever from Scraperfect to glue down the paper,
as well as the multi colored/sized dew drops.

The ribbon comes from Robin's Nest:  Magic Ribbon.  Don't you love the festive colors!

Next, I chose to decorate the candy cane Smoothfoam form.
Gesso first...then mod podge to adhere the clear, chunky glitter.

I used The Robin's Nest Crimson Velvet Ribbon for the candy strips.
It is held down using Craft Glue Dots ®.

I used more Magic ribbon along with silver cording and jingle bells.

For both of these ornaments, I inserted an eyelet screw into each Smoothfoam before starting any embellishments!

Thanks for visiting me today!!
