Christmas is a special time of year.
My parents taught me to see Santa as a benevolent personage who represented all that is good and generous and loving. So, yes, Kris Kringle is someone who makes me smile.
I'm glad we have this representation to fill our childhood imagination.
And I'm forever grateful that we can look to Another who best represents love and kindness and generosity!
With a shortage of time...always, this card style is fun and quick!
I used my We R Memory Keepers envelope punch board to create a envelope out of 7 3/8 inch paper square, scored and punched at 3 1/4 inch. Then I created a note card for the inside. This Santa Washi tape from Eyelet Outlet finishes it up quickly...and coordinates the color combo I chose.
Then, create a belly band...and decorate it as desired.
I used some more washi tape and decorative brads and bling from Eyelet Outulet.
The felt snowflakes are retired and horded from Stampin Up! (Dig out that stuff and use it!)
Glue Dots ® are the perfect adhesive for the pearl bling and felt snowflakes. 1" Glue Lines ® are strong and keep the belly band closed. Another tip...use a bone folder to burnish folds.
With all the embellishments on the belly band, it is easy
to write on the insert even when it is adhered down.
And this is a great way to use up some of your fabulous decorative papers!
I used The Project Bin's Maybe Christmas set for the large, eye catching sentiment. This set also has
a small snowflake. I considered stamping the belly band with it...but then decided that there was enough pattern and color on my design.
I hope that you are all planning and plotting for a joyful, bright Christmas!
Cheers!!
