Best set this month!!

Yeppers....this is my favorite stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers' 2011 June release!  There are poppies everywhere these days.  I'm so glad MFP has such a pretty set as well!  (That or they have spies peeking into Faith's art studio....b/c seriously, I've seen a lot of poppies popping up lately!!)

From the time I was young...even up to present time...I have always had a poppy inside my car.  Veterans collect donations and you get the flower.  My mom has always bought them and stuck them in her car to remember the sacrifice of soldiers and war.  Years ago on Memorial Day, I was walking through the Meijer parking lot with my kids when I saw a veteran with a poppy in his button hole. I commented to him that it had been so long since I had seen a poppy.  He gladly gifted it to me!  I was so honored!

A couple of years ago, my brownie troop was giving service to a Veteran's Group and taking donations for Poppies in a local bank one Memorial Day.  I was realllllly excited to help out.  So you can imagine my disappointed when that weekend, me and my family had a nasty, nasty stomach bug.

Well, enough of my remembrances.  I made this framed art work which I'll hang up in my home.  If you want to see more examples, sprout over to the MFP blog.  While you are there, hop the blogs to get a chance to win free stamps!  (Maybe you'll luck out and get this really delightful "Poppies, Poppies, Poppies" set!)
