Embossing...my favorite!

Let me just start off by saying that the papers I used can be purchased from Mark's Finest Papers.  Along with the paper, be sure to add ribbon, cording, and charms into your cart!  The gold paper has reflected the light, but you can bet it is a dazzling gold color!  The ribbon is so rich and the most gorgeous color blue you can imagine!  This week's Speedy's Friends challenge is to use EMBOSSING on your card.  I used dry embossing on the red panel and highlighted the "dots" with gold stickles.  Then, I stamped and embossed the flower four times on watercolor paper. Watercolored the pieces.  Then,  I cut them at different petals and used dimensionals to create this very 3D flower embellishments.  Nesties were used for the sentiment and then the bottom edge of the card to carry through the motif.  (Sneak peek...this flower is from a July release called "Apples and Camillas."  Keep your eyes out for more July peeks!)  I used cording to create antennae for this golden dragonfly, which happens to be  what I named my first house.

I can't wait to see what you come up with. Be sure to link up with Speedy's Friends!

I love this beautiful design with that awesome camellia blossom and the lovely embossing. All of these pretty cards are making me want to buy a camellia bush, they do really well in the climate here.

Very pretty card. I was working on a card last night and popped up the flower layers, as well. This stamp lends itself well to this technique.
