Lately, the only time I can stamp is when I have a stamping chore to do. And who likes chores? But hey, at least it's a valid excuse to get inky. Yesterday, my yogini neighbor asked me to stamp up a few cards for our Cub Pack to use at Thank Yous. The Wolf Den went to Home Depot to learn about tools....
And next week, our pack will be going to a couple of Nursing Homes in the area to help out and to cheer the residents there. Perhaps even to form some friendships.
Both of the cards were made out of a full sheet of card stock so there would be plenty of room for the Cubs to sign their names.
This afternoon when I went to the bus stop to collect my kids, I was pleased to find an envelope of images from my stamping little sis, Diane. They were whimsical and fun...just perfect for my style. One was of a cupcake...perfect for a card I needed to make to thank my neighbor for some YUMMALICIOUS cupcakes that she brought over.
A few days ago, I sent her a cyber cupcake on Facebook. She then had a craving for a cupcake and made (and then shared) a batch of chocolate cupcakes. I probably should have taken a pix...and the thought did cross my mind...but I was too busy eating them! R* actually brought over 7 cupcakes. Two for E and I to snack on yesterday while the others were at work and school. Then five more for our dessert. She put some Ghiradelli chocolate in the middle of the batter...and they were ooey, gooey divine! To top it all off, she used almond extract instead of regular vanilla in the buttermilk frosting...wowzers! My mom uses buttermilk icing...but this stuff topped it. Maybe my taste buds just needed a treat yesterday. But the Almond flavoring was super!
I don't know if I have any more stamping chores ... except maybe a few more christmas cards. But I do have a pile of sewing to get through...or started!
