Stuff and more stuff...

First of all...

HELLO LURKERS!!

haha It has been fun to read your comments. I'm starting to think I'll need to have some blog candy for the lurkers...to entice them to post more! (Let me think on it.)

Ellen inquired about the unmounted system. I saw it for the first time at the Stamp Expo and on a whim bought some pages to try. LOVE IT!! My buddy Jen has unmounted all of her sets (gulp!) and uses it and is happy with it. Here are some pix I snapped of the sheets full and blank.

Two new doodle guys...Ezner and Mimo!

Basically, they are pieces of laminated paper...stiff paper, with 3 holes cut out. You can put them in binders or buy a special "box" for them. The box would be nice b/c then if a stamp fell off, it would be in the box still.

Jen has a buyer on ebay that she found to be a good price. I will have to find out who the seller is. But StarvingArtistamps sells this system too. I paid one dollar a sheet for mine at the expo...same price on their site for non tabbed. (Yeah b/c I can add that to my wishlist. ) Now I know I saw the "boxes" for them at their booth but it appears to be a "show special" b/c I do not see it on the site.

But, if you are Frugal Franny...like me...Just try laminating a piece of heavier stock cardstock. I think that if you were super organized, you could stamp the image on the paper, then laminate so you'd know where each individual stamp belonged. Though, if you are indecisive like me, you arrange and rearrange things often enough so that's not helpful. Jen said that she puts a paper protector in between sheets. Inside the paper protector she slides in a stamped piece of paper of the stamps that belong on the page. Does that make sense? Maybe I can get Jen to snap some pix for me to explain better...Check back.

Umm...

Hankasaurus...My BIL Hank had 4 wisdom teeth plus one more extracted on Friday. I told him last week that it was worse than giving birth...and I think he would agree. He's miserable and thinks there is an infection. (Not worried too much just yet b/c when I had it done, I thought I had one too b/c the pain is immense.) So I stamped up some fun cards to cheer him up this week. (Don't look if you are reading this now Hank!!)

The Mimo card is esp. for Hank. He is a graphic designer/artist...loves numbers and fonts like that...and quirky, fun things. Mimo will make him smile! I just might need to give the "Need a Lift?" card to Ken b/c he's bothered by work and irritable. Also, Best Fishes is awesome...might have to figure out how to get a better photo. I know, I know, I've said that a zillion times!

Okay, I think I've typed enough for now. Later Lurkers!!

You know, I'm not a fan of the sheet storage like these. I know lots of other people like them though. I find that my stamps fall off over time.

And I never EZ-mount any of my bare rubber stamps. Maybe I'm just lazy. I prefer bare rubber and then I stamp on a mouse pad - gives me all the cushion I need.

=) Hey...it's me, lurker no. 5 LoL. Great cards...too bad he's in pain, but the ocassion brought about these cards, so see--something good CAN come out of a bad situation, :)

Don'tcha just LOOOVE Jessica's new stamp sets? I am in love with the tree one. Which one do YOU like best?
I told her if she's having a hard time choosing DT members (cause Lord knows there's sooo many out there!!) that she should just pick ME and YOU!!! Make it easy, LOL. Wouldn't that be totally RAD?!!

I'm never going to get into stamping...or get back into doing scrapbooking, I never did much of it anyway... But, I have to tell you that you certainly make it tempting. I can see where it would be addictive...

Do you sell your cards? You ought to open up a fun little shop somewhere... or sell your designs or something. You are VERY talented!

Hi Dawn! Loved seeing your unmounted sysem -- I've heard of them, but never seen!!! Don't think I'd bother to unmount those already mounted, but would be good for unmounteds that are purchased as such!!! And I do think I'll be purchasing unmounted rubber when available!!! Cute cards -- fun stamps!!! I don't think I have you linked on my blogroll, I'll check and if not I'll link you, if that's OK?

Your unmounteds look great... along with all your new stamp cards! I finally updated my blog and linked your convention posting. There are pictures of my binder with sheet protectors somewhere on my blog... I need to pay more attention to my blog in my extra time off. Your sock monkey card still has me cracking up! LOL!
