A new AROUND THE WORLD champion!

Last night, I was talking to my DS about school. I try to ask the kids every day about school. What happened, how did you feel, what was fun, what wasn't fun, etc. His exciting news was that today....

C*B* is the AROUND THE WORLD CHAMPION in his class. He went all the way around and no one could beat him with the math facts that they were working on. He could calculate them faster! He was thrilled and I could tell it! (Of course, later, as I was tucking him into bed, I reminded him to not brag or make anyone feel bad.) I remember how tense those Around the World "games" were and how nervous they make you feel.

Way to go, C*!!

PS....I showed him this entry. C said he even beat his "worst enemies." I didn't know he had those! See what happens when you talk to your kids.

Interesting how and when teaching moments come. I got to have some of those moments with my grandkids that I was visiting this weekend. We read books together, prayed together, talked about blogs, eating good food, exercising, sharing, kindness and families. Need to treasure times like these. Aunt Lin
