Anchors away...Another stamping adventure!!

If you had asked me 20 years ago what I liked to do or what my hobbies were, I probably would have said reading b/c well…I didn’t have any hobbies or ideas of what I even might like to do. But with time and wrinkles, I have plans, passions, and drive.  (Maybe I’m a late bloomer?)  I try to learn something new every year. (Ham Radio operator, check! Gotta figure out how to learn ASL.)  I love serving others.  (Call or text me and I’ll be right over!)  And I’m blessed that I can schedule it all into my life. (My calendar is still mainly in my head.) My top three passions (today):  Swimming (how much farther or faster can I go?) Ukulele (trying to convince DH I need more than one!), and being creative (in too many ways to list here).  Most importantly, I am an up beat, quirky, happy to help, stay at home mother to three teenagers…one practically perfect dog.

For my first project, I thought I would use the summering "Anchors Away" set.

I used Burlap from a DCWV paper pad. I love that it has a paper backing on it so you can really use it as a paper panel on your projects!  A few nautical anchors and ships wheel accent the large, fun sentiment from The Project Bin set.

Hey...a knot and some cord...easy and cute!

1" Glue Lines (R) are great for securing the twine along the sides of my card.

So many bold, fun, graphic images in this set!
