My neice's favorite holiday is St. Patty's day. And now,
b/c we have such a special relationship...I'm starting to get excited about this March holiday too!
I also have a fairy, named Melody who lives in my house...and sends my neice treats and notes. (She sends to Melody too.) So, I was so surprised when one day, a small, blank, 4 inch square canvas showed up on the popcicle stick easel she made for Melody.
It's not blank any more!
The fairy glued a piece of paper from DCWV Vintage Essentials onto the canvas.
The edges were distressed with brown inks.
Then, felt from Michaels was cut into 4 hearts using Spellbinders Heart Nestabilities.
After stitching the four leaves together, that crafty fairy used Craft Glue Dots ® to secure the clover to the panel. A bow was made using 3 Girl JAM Peach ribbon along with silver cord. More Glue Dots were used to hold all these layers together! Advanced Strength Glue Dots ® were used for that rhinestone button after the shank was cut off...just in case any little siblings got a hold of this art piece.
Other straight pin embellishments were added.
Green Memory Keepers Washi Tape adds more lucky green to the sides of the canvas.
Bling Strips from the Eyelet Outlet, as well as Bling sheets and sequins add a flash of light and interest. The sentiment can be found at Starving Artistamps.
I don't know about you...
but I know I"m pretty lucky to have one sweet neice...and a live in fairy in my craft room!
What fun things do you do to create bonds with loved ones far away?
