Welcome to Glue Dots ® Thanksgiving Blog hop!
I'm so grateful to be continuing on as a Dottess and
representing the many varieties of Glue Dots ®.
I love the month of November as it is a time so many contemplate their many blessings.
To get my kids more aware of their blessings, I made this Blessing Jar.
Each time someone in the family shares what they are grateful for this month,
they can plop in a popcorn kernel.
When the jar is full, we will have a family movie/popcorn night!

6. Contemplate your blessings...as you do, fill up your jar with pop corn kernels.
(Candy corn is a fun option. But the family would eat so many
that the gratitude jar would never be filled!)
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.
It is a time when I can see my family and enjoy being with them...and of course food and crafts! After our Thanksgiving Dinner, we make a Christmas Ornament.
It is a nice way to usher in the next holiday,
as well as giving each of us a new ornament to hang on our tree.
Since I am hosting this year, our ornament will definitely need to include Glue Dots ®!! Here is one of my husband's favorite side dishes.
It has become a tradition each Thanksgiving and Christmas in our home!

Ken's Thanksgiving Jello Salad
Otherwise known as Festive Cranberry-Pineapple Salad

In medium saucepan combine reserved juice with water to make 3 cups; heat to boiling. Add gelatin: stir at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved.
Stir in cranberry sauce. Pour into large bowl. Refrigerate 1-1/2 hours or until slightly thickened (consistency of unbeaten egg whites).
2.Stir in remaining pineapple, apple and walnuts; stir gently until well blended. Pour into medium serving bowl.
3.Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm. Garnish with reserved crushed pineapple and additional apple slices just before serving. Store leftover gelatin in refrigerator.
