Pocket Full

Just a reminder post for all you very savvy crafters out there!  You know have TWO WEEKS to complete a Pink by Design challenge.  Remember to post the Ink it Pink challenge badge on your blog.  Then Link your project back HERE.  If you do that, you things will happen.  ONE:  DT members will ooh and aah and squeal over your submissions....and check out your blog.  And TWO:  You will be in the running for bragging rights and a $10 gift certificate to the PbD store.  Hey, we all like to strut your stuff...right!  You don't have to use our company stamps...but you know we want to see what you can do using Pink by Design stamps!

Annette challenged us to use FABRIC last week.  Remember:  RIBBONS DON'T COUNT!  (Aye! Aye! Captain!!)
So, here I have upcycled a pair of jeans...into a pocket card.
(Just fray check the edges!)

Although...I did make that darling rosette using a plaid ribbon...don't make me walk the plank, Annette!
These flowers are created by making a loose running stitch through the ribbon, then pulling it up.
Arrange the "petals" in a spiral...then stitch the back.  Here I also added a ribbon.
To adhere this embellishment, I used Craft Glue Dots by Glue Dots.

A simple tag leaves plenty of room for a sweet treat or bauble inside this pocket.
The hearts and sentiment come from "Pocket Full."
I find that a highlight of color can give the sentiment some pizzaz!

Awesome Flame Dew Drops from The Robin's Nest were adhered using Gemstone Glue by Helmar.

This is an amazing idea! We just went through all the boys old jeans, and I have several that they've outgrown and are too holey to give away. I know what I am going to do with them now. Thanks for sharing this idea.
