A new sort of easel!

The other day, I came across this tree shaped easel card and I just knew I had to try it with Inky Impressions' elf stamps.  (Of course, 2 days ago, Splitcoast got the jump on me when they posted the tutorial on their site. haha.  But I did have it mostly completed by that time.  Great ideas travel fast with the age of the internet!)

Although I don't have a picture to better illustrate, this card is made from three 6 inch squares.  The last flap is secured with a velcro dot. When undone, this tree lies flat...aside from any embellishments you add.  With three sides, you have a lot of canvas to decorate!

I"m very happy to be a guest designer for Inky Impressions for the next two months.  New images are always such a delight to stamp, color and design with!  Don't you just love the elves in the new release!  I sure did!  Inky has really sweet images and very detailed line drawings.  Oh...but don't miss their embellishment lines.  I was super pleased to find some charms and Inky Dinky Drops and rhinestone brads in my welcome package!!  (Keep an eye out for them on up coming cards and projects!)

I've been stamping for seven years this month!  Many months after my grandmother passed away, my grandfather told me to go through her craft closet and take what I liked. I ended up taking some embossing powders, her embossing heat tool, a few loose stamps...along with other crafty goodies. It wasn't very long after I returned home and started playing with these new toys that I knew I needed more.   More stamps, more ink, more paper, more time!   A friend of mine helped me get started. Within a few weeks, I learned about Splitcoaststampers....and their daily challenges. The rest is history!
