Merry Christmas Eve...

Ken and I made a quick dash to Downtown Disney on the last day of our vacation.  There we bought the kids some legos. More specifically bricks....from the pickabrick wall.  Ken is a nut about getting as many bricks into the container as possible!  He had to snap them all together and squeeze in extras here and there.  On the bus ride back to our hotel, he found an AIR POCKET of all things. haha.

Well..that gift, coupled with the fact that my neighbors DISPLAY their small sets, got me on a " let's see what sets we can make spree" last night with C and E.  While my kids have their legos in buckets and piles, often making one design after another, I haven't been bothered in tihe past. But you know, Christmas turns us into crazies sometimes. So, I spent hours with the boys sorting and making and rebuiling. We went to bed after midnight...and woke up only to start again. This time A* and Ken helped.

I was pleasantly surprised at how many sets we were able to recreate. And only a couple of pieces were missing from an old, old "mega block" set.  I don't know if we have all of our advent legos from past years...but hey, they are well loved and well played with.  And obviously now, after 12+ completed sets, these legos are very well cared for as well!

Of course the Holy Family needs to view a StarWars fighter jet along with a shooting droid...

 Remade by this darling boy!

Yes, I remade TWO of these yellow Starwars ships this morning.  Breakfast:  2 cookies.  Linner:  Faijtas. And yes, at 6pm, we'll start the party with the Emerts with lots of food!

E showing off one of his Power Miner sets...his favorite line of Legos.

Now, I'm partly tempted to give them the jar of legos early. Or just save them for a rainy day b/c they  might be tired of legos by the time midnight rolls around.

What a great time you have had together Dawn and that's the great thing that your children will remember. That you took time to play. Enjoy your day.

I gave Daniel my box of legos from my son's youth. His kids have added many more on and it's amazing what they can make. Lots of fun, part of every Christmas for many years putting together the kits...fun memories!

I do miss the days of giving lego to my son for Christmas and spending all Christmas Day watching him build it to completion. They grow up so fast! Thanks for sharing this fun day with us.

LOL, my hubby is the same way with cramming legos into those containers. We have two boxes from Christmas to fill at the Lego store this week. :)
