Sailing By

I have been wanting to use this Paper Makeup Set called Sailing By for some time now. Only this is still a girlie card.  Oh well...guess I better keep stamping until I get something manly.  I'm been making treats for all my siblings and their families.  I will need more masculine cards vs. girlie cards too!

Challenges: CAS62, FS166, CCBJ#59

I really like the Sailing By set. All that white on white with the splashes of red looks great! I agree it looks girlie with that lacy border. :)

I think you did a good job. When i do manly cards i try to go with boy kind of colors. More often for pattern paper that tends to be stripes, brows, blues and greens. A good pattern line that does have some girl and boy patterns in it is the dcwv linen closet. Just a tip. Then do the same kind of card with those colors and use the sail boat and maybe just a scallop punch if you have and a brown or cream ribbon. Hope this helps. I have a boy so i tend to think in boy terms took me a long time to make the leap to girly cards.

I love it, Dawn! It IS girly, but I've only been able to whip out masculine versions of cards using this set, so I love what you did!

I really like this! The masculine anchor with the feminine lacy border and ribbon. A romantic sea voyage!
