Stretching Stamps

I have said it before and I'll say it today...I love stretching stamps.

Sherrod Studio wanted its designers to create a yummy treat holder using it's Halloween set.  Although I do not have it, I do have some festive pumpkins from the Harvest Blessings set.  Add fall colors, a yummy sentiment (which is actually from Fresh Baked) and some candycorn candies....stir in some Halloween magic (hehe) and presto magic...

A Halloween-y candy holder!

I used papers from Paper Temptress.  RC Burgundy is a sturdy cardstock perfect for packaging yet lovely because of its texture.  I started off with a piece of paper that was 4.25 x 11  inches.  Score at   3.75, 4 7/8  , 6 and 9.75 inches.  Fold up into a triangular shaped package.   The bottom has a "W" shape so it can expand with the items you put inside, or fold flat.   Decorate and fill with your favorite Halloween treat!  (I did trim off a little on the flap on my example.)  I stamped the pumpkin image onto Watercolor Paper which has a lovely look when you use reinkers to color it in.  Fill a cello bag with a sweet treat and you can easily produce this giftie for friends, family, teachers or coworkers!

Back to stretching stamps...

You may think on first glance that Fresh Baked is primarily a Christmas/Holiday set.  But just ook what you can do with those darling faces! We are paper crafters...start crafting!  First I made a rough sketch of 2 ghosts and then I cut them out to use as a template.  PaperTemptress'  Diamond White paper is just sparkley enough for any ghost to glimmer and glean!  By sponging yellow around the edges, I have given this twosome an eery glow and some definition.  The sentiment was cut out from sizzlits alphabet dies in chocolatechip ruche paper.  Texture gives a card so much interest!  (The blue is Stardreams Malachite...starry, starry night perfection!)

Have fun making those cards and treats for your friends this season!

PS.  Today is World Card Making Day.  Be sure to check out Paper Craft Planet from 6-7 pm EST as Sherrod Studio will have some fun things to show you.

I love the pumpkin candy holder! Those could even be Thanksgiving favors, if you can make the candy corn last that long, haha. And such a clever idea for ghosts in your second card. Wish I could check out that temptress paper in person. Sounds lovely! :)
