Monkeying around!

Well, Ken was out of town for 5 days this weekend. His brother was getting married in AZ and we couldn't afford the entire family to fly out in a week's notice. I was going to take the kids to my parents' home in Ohio. But the weather and roads were not good so we stayed and played here. Friday was a snowday/cold day as I think I posted. I made one card that day, and then I made this one later in the day:

This card is one of those 3D shadowbox type cards.

I am going to send it to a little girl who I know through Girl Scouts who is having some health issues right now. I really can't imagine being unhealthy as a child. It must be scary and worrisome for the parents and the entire family.

But of course, the kids saw this monkey card, and then wanted to see the other cards I had made for Starving Artistamps last week. Which of course, were mailed to the company. haha. So we just might have monkey fever around here. It's a good thing that Valentine's Day is coming up. It's not a holiday with Santa or the Easter Bunny. So I can actually give them something *I* made for them! hehe.

You know, that DoodleFactory comes up with some funtastic things. And...they are always producing new things! (wink*wink*)

Aw, I'm almost sad you had to send all your cards away, BUT they're going to look great on Tracey's boards and they'll get to tour the crafting expo circuit. They'll be famous :)

I saw a call for cards for a little boy that has cancer that I want to contribute to. Hopefully the doodlefactory guys will bring some smiles to those poor kids.

Dawn, I love this one. The little girl will love this. Where did you get the stamp set, does it include the little swirly thing. The reason I'm asking is cuz, one of my twin daughters nickname is monkey manda. Did you get it from doodlefactory? Could plz let me know, thanks! Great Card! Hugs, Ellen

Re: Your Bee King Comment (I never know if I'm supposed to reply on my own blog or in the commenters blog)...

That's so funny! You're going to have to make a card with Twinx ruling over the bees now!

I love this card! I'm always telling my two boys that they are my little monkeys! This card reminds me of them bouncing off the walls at home :)

Awesome job, it's so cool!
