I'm not sure if what I am doing today should have been done 2 weeks ago...getting ready for the new year.
I filled out my calendar with events and birthdays that I know are coming up. Typically, I just keep track of things in my mind. But these days, I am thinking that I am getting too busy and complicated. The kids are more involved with life and so am I. So, I got myself a calendar. haha. I also am charging up the PDA that my husband gave me for Christmas 3 years ago. I know, I know...some of you probably would love to have a PDA this nice...even has a camera on it. But like I said, I just haven't needed anything but my brain to keep track of my life!
So today...I sat down and took the Junior Achievement training course. I think I can handle that class...slowly. hehe. Luckily I remembered that I was something before a teacher. I did work out there in the work place at American Greetings which is a card company. Maybe I do have some experience that I can share with these kids. haha.
Before and after the JA training, I worked out some Brownie stuff.
Meanwhile, I really think I should update my resume. For no other reason that b/c I can and I should do it before I forget what I have done.
Resolutions...
Well, usually, I don't even bother making them b/c I know they will not last. But this year, I think I will knit something useful since my mom taught me to knit last week. And get new window treatments for the front room and kitchen. Maybe paint the kitchen if I can come up with a new color. Oh and update my resume. I also want to lose 15 lbs. So...I guess we'll see.

You forgot to list...write in my blog. I found that by putting my tennis shoes on first thing in the morning, I was more motivated to exercise today-did 10 min. of my walking tape indoors before breakfast and then later took two walks to the mail box. Of course our temperatures was 52 degrees today so that helps but the wind was blowing and it was cold. I remember Junior Achievement-it was fun and built up my self confidence. Being a mother and wife and homemaker should definately go on your resume as that is a complex job...and demanding.
what you said about PDA's caught my attention quick. I had a really nice one back in '02 but i guess like you I started to figure out that it wasn't (at the time at least) as good as my brain. I hadn't thought about even using one again 'til just recently and am kinda stuck between getting one and sticking to the "blue planner" like sheets that iCal spits out. Which I guess is fine but my paper can't alert me to when I need to move on from one project to the next. I didn't make any resolutions really but I did make quite an ambitious schedule for myself, hence the PDA thoughts.
happy new year Dawn!
Happy New Year, Dawn! I tagged you on my blog! Check out the end of today's post!
wow! I think all of those possible resolves are totally do-able in 12 months (that's barely a pound/month to lose....versus my hope to lose 50 pounds last year cuz Millie wanted me to. Failure is not a happy thing). Good for you.
