Sketch Time #129
This week's Corrosive Challenge is a sketch! Ohhhhh yeah!
Let me tell you...Taking a pix in poor lighting during a rainstorm doesn't give you a very sweet picture. (I may have to snap a new pix early tomorrow morning!) This image is from Simply Betty Stamps' line of DT Divas digi stamps. Ooh, are they snazzy with coolness! Simply Betty Stamps is one of this month's CCBJ Sponsers. (The sentiment is from Paper Makeup Stamps.)To see a diagram of the sketch, click on over to the Corrosive Challenges by Janet Blog. Then, link up with Mr. Linky! I can't wait to see your take on the sketch!

Ribbons and Bows...CCBJ#121
This month, StampInsanity is sponsering the Corrosive Challenge. Here is one of their images...
I loved him as soon as I saw him as my oldest son loves to draw characters along the same style. Of course, ribbons and bows for an 11 year old? Ugh...no way. So...I designed a bookmark for my favorite bookworm!
Ribbons...check!
Be sure to link up with Mr. Linky. The CCJB Designers and I would love to see how you incorporate ribbons and bows this week!

Corrosive!
Lucky me...I'm back on the Corrosive Challenges by Janet team! I had a really fun time working with Janet and her designers a while back. So when I thought a weekly challenge blog was what I needed to add to my summer, I sent her an email!
Paper Pretties is one of this month's sponsers for the the challenges. I paired this bath tub beauty with a fun sentiment from Paper Makeup Stamps. Funny that his name is Cooper and a cooper was someone who made barrels! I thought this would be a fun card to send to my nephew who is loving the water now he can enjoy his very first summer!
This week's challenge is to use "summer colors." With that in mind, I chose the blue of the water or the sky and the yellow of the sunshine. Be sure to link up your designs on the Corrosive Challenges by Janet blog. We would love to see what you come up with!

More Charity...
and a new digi stamp...
Paper Makeup is releasing a new digi stamp today. Proceeds are going to help a family in need. Paper Makeup is a generous company has helped families in the past. This new stamp will help the family of a sweet girl named Baylee Tadlock. At the age of 9 months, Baylee was diagnosed with Leigh's Syndrome. Leigh's Syndrome is a metabolic-mitochond rial disease. The family was told to expect Baylee's life to be only of about 2 years. That she would never walk, talk, sit up or even crawl. But Baylee was a fighter and a lover of life! She loved to ride horses! She loved disney and princess Ariel. Baylee recently went to be with our Lord on January 9th at the age of 13. You can read all about Baylee, her too short life, and her family's amazing faith at http://www.adreamforbaylee.com/.
All proceeds from the sale will go directly to the Tadlock family. They have set up a scholarship fund in Baylee's name with http://projectride. org. Project Ride is a program giving therapeutic recreational horseback riding instruction to children and adults with special needs. PMS is designating the funds for the tadlock to use as they need.

CCBJ40...Red and Green Color combo...
But I added pink to spice it up!
I received a fabulous reveal card from my Secret Sister last week using this color combo and pretty much the layout too. Thanks for the inspiration, Joyce!
This Christmas Fairy from Paper Makeup is darling! Perfect for the holiday season. Flutter over to the Corrosive Challenge blog to check out the other designers' cards and to link up your card using Mr. Linky and keyword: CCBJ40.
BTW, this is my last week on the Corrosive Challenges design team. Janet runs her group so well and is so organized. It was a pleasure to be on the team. Thanks, Janet!!

This is a bit "flat" for my taste so I cut out an extra clothing layer and popped it up on dimensionals.

Do you like Movies?
Well, pick a movie and get inspired to make a card. This week, Janet from the Corrosive Challenges Blog is asking you to make a card based on a movie.
I used Starving Artistamps' Final Frontier set for this StarWars inspired card. Although, with the "go for it!" sentiment, I am reminded of the movie called Independence Day. Silver Sakura pen was used for the space ship. My favorite alien is wedged behind the captain's controls. The flag is from the Urban set. And as you can see by the stickles and embossing, there is a lot of texture too.

Corrostive Challenge...#38
It's all about EMBOSSING today at Janet's Corrostive Challenge Blog.
I emboss just about every thing these days! So...along with the heat emboss..I have added a bunch of texture from dry emboss. It was tricky to get the texture into the photograph. And the bottom third of the black panel is also embossed in dots.
Be sure to link up with Mr Linky and use the keyword: CCBJ38!

Corrostive Challenges by Janet #36
Today is a fun one. Janet is challenging papercrafters everywhere to make something OTHER THAN A CARD. Since I know Michelle is waiting to see what mini notepad my youngest gets...I decided to finish of the kids' treats with this challenge!
Memo to self: Do not let the kids pick out things when I need to make a challenge item. We don't see eye to eye. But eventually, he got disinterested and left me alone. Now...he'll be surprised when he finds it in his lunchbox on Monday!
So...now we see that these tiny aliens and robots in Starving Artistamps' Final Frontier set come in handy on INCHIES!! I will have to experiement more when the kids and dh are away from the homestead.
As always, head on over to the Corrostive Challenges by Janet Blog...link up with Mr. Linky and use keyword: CCBJ36 for online galleries!
