Yet another reason why I stay home with my kids...
B/c for as many rough patches, there is always a lot more ups. A LOT.
Yes, I have a moody teenager whose temperament changes by the hour. Poor Granny doesn't get to see and hear and feel all the good, kind, helpful things he does or says. But I do...b/c I am home.
Although I had to have a really tough lesson in honesty a few years ago over silly pencil top squishies, today I got a note from another one of my kids.
Yes, driving around returning squishies to an embaressing lot of classmates on a rainy day 3 years ago was so worth it. Glad I was home then...and home now to hear and see that he was proud to have made the right choice. Even if it meant a lower grade.
