Birdhouse

I made this birdhouse last week, but I couldn't get a decent shot of it.

I printed this template from a website onto Paper Temptress' new Spring Green Skinny Columned Paper.  My printer accepted the paper without a hitch and the printing was just fine.  I created my own template for the bird and embellished it with a rhinestone eye.   The Navy Blue Leather paper has a leather (or feather...it rhymes!) texture to it.

Then I added embellishments made from other Paper Temptress papers.  The watermelon/mango paper is the two sided Sorbet Duplex paper.  In real life, you can see a hint of the opposite color on the large flower because I folded the paper to make it more dimensional.  The sentiment is from Nature's Song by Paper Makeup Stamps.

You can seal this house up or keep it open with a flap.  It's a nice small size that would make an adorable favor for chocolates! I used a nice thick Double Duty Chocolate for the roof and perch.  All the papers used on this project are pretty heavy so it will stand up to a little wear and tear as it is opened and closed by the recipient.

Such a sweet idea! I have my living room decorated with bird houses. Love the two-sided paper on that big flower. :)
