Release Party Case...

This week I have been admiring and ponding at how well Katie has developed this company in a few short months.  Oh, I'm sure that they have felt long long months from time to time. Or maybe TOO short of months also.  But in one company, you can find a wide range of sentiments, images and supplies!  Got PMS?  So...in honor of this accomplishment, I have decided to CASE the VERY first Paper Makeup card in the SCS gallery.    Go check ig out.  Really...go.  B/c that tail is adorable.  Did I know that it was a heart before this challenge? haha.  Maybe I forgot.  But it is darling.

PMS November Hippity Hoppity

Are you ready for a blog hop??  If you didn't start from the Paper Makeup Blog, go to the start so you can see all the awesome examples that the Paper Makeup Artists have designed using the November releases!  I am showcasing Moody for Fun today.  And boy...she sure looks like she does have fun! 

I loved the chocolates and tans on this card...with the ruby red accent color!  The sentiment is new this month too!  This image would be great for pre-teens, teens...early 20s.  It's an age where cutsie doesn't cut it...but cool definitely is eye-catching! BTW, that is a new sentiment as well from the Everyday Thanks set.

Not so Fairy Nice News...

Here in the stamping community, we have been hoping and praying for a fellow stamper and her young son.  He fell ill quite suddenly and within a few days...passed away.  Paper Makeup is generously donating the profits from a new fairy stamp to the grieving family. 

This fairy, named Henry, has been named after the little boy who passed away.  On Saturday, be sure to put Henry in your shopping cart!  Not only will you have a darling winter image for a boy...but you'll be helping out a family going through a rough time.  Thanks, Paper Makeup!

I used papers from Paper Temptress on this card.  The Abysse and Gold Sparkle really bring out the snowy glints on this paper.  Heavenly White is a great white for both layers and your main image!

An interaction between myself and DD

Yesterday evening, I grandly announced that it was sooooooo nice that I can rummage through the kids'  Halloween bags and snack on Candies while they are at school.  DD was not pleased with that.  She threatened that she would hide it from me. I said that I could find it for sure.  No, she said, SHE could hide things VERY WELL.  So...

Today comes around. I decided I want some chocolate. I open the door to her room. And it was an EXPLOSION of candy on the floor. Seriously. NOT HIDDEN at all.  So....

When she came home today, I told DD that she didn't hide the candy too well.


LOL

Go Green!

I was so excited to see this monster hit November's Paper Makeup Release!  This one eyed creature wants to be green...go earth! haha.

Don't you just love the matching sentiment?  And the 3 arrow Recycling emblem?  It is still so interesting to me when I volunteer in school.  The kids don't throw paper away.  They recycle it!  And it rolls off their tongues without a second thought!

My youngest sister is a highschool art teacher.  This is a little gift set I made her for winning a family challenge.  Check back on Friday for the matching card!  Oh...I'm sure I'll be throwing in a few sweets treats as well!

Sherrod Studio's Challenge today!

Today's Challenge from Sherrod Studio is a Sketch Challenge.  (Yes I hear everyone cheering from your side of the monitors!) 

I used the "Ella" stamp set.  Years ago, when I first started stamping and ONLY used rubber mounted stamps, I had no fear in cutting up those stamps to fit my purposes.  In fact, I don't think any one is going to want my Best of Cluck set as it has been chopped up into so many bits and pieces.  In the Ella set, there is a horizontal row of cupcakes.  Since I wanted them to be vertical, I got up the courage and chopped off one baby cupcake. It took me a minute or two to get up the courage. But look at the result!  And I still have a long row of cupcakes for any future use!

Corrostive Challenges by Janet #36

Today is a fun one. Janet is challenging papercrafters everywhere to make something OTHER THAN A CARD.  Since I know Michelle is waiting to see what mini notepad my youngest gets...I decided to finish of the kids' treats with this challenge!

Memo to self:  Do not let the kids pick out things when I need to make a challenge item.  We don't see eye to eye.  But eventually, he got disinterested and left me alone.  Now...he'll be surprised when he finds it in his lunchbox on Monday!

So...now we see that these tiny aliens and robots in Starving Artistamps' Final Frontier set come in handy on INCHIES!!  I will have to experiement more when the kids and dh are away from the homestead.
