START AT THE MOTHERSHIP before proceding! If you started there already, let's blast off and take a look at my doodle-universe!
As soon as I saw this gigantic earth stamp and "Peace on Earth" sentiment in this new Doodlefactory set, I knew I had to make a christmas card, where the comets are "holly." The berries are made up of red rhinestones.
Here is a fun technique to do with these mini creatures and robots: Faux Postage!
I squished this large alien into the spaceship. The right side of this card front is cut 3/4 inch smaller. The comets are stamped as an edge/border and embossed in sparkly embossing powder. I used Saturn's rings in the same manner for the blue blackground.
I used silver and red Sakura pens to give this robot metallic coloring. But why stop at decorating at the front of a card?
The inside echoes the layout with a red triangle and sentiment!
I added green stickles to that alien. (This cardstock is night of navy...not black.)
This is another one of my favorites...simple and sweet. And I just like the repetition of the moon in space and the moon he is standing on!

But don't get lost on on the fabulous tutorials. Be sure to make a card and link it up to the Sherrod Studio Company blog using Mr. Linky.
If you upload your creation to an online gallery, use the Keword: SSTT02. I'll be checking Mr. Linky and can't wait to see what others come up with!

Makeup 4 the Weekend!
In case you didn't notice, Paper Makeup has moved it's challenges to FRIDAY...and has renamed them "Makeup4theweekend." Although the challenge is posted on Friday, you do have a week to complete them. Friday's Challenge was to make an ATC. I LOVE making these little cards for my kids' (and sometimes even husband's) lunches. Here is a simple one I whipped up for the challenge.
I used stickles for the lava and the flower centers for a really sparkly card. To add more texture, I crumpled up the "grass" as well. The dots were made on my scorpal. So even a small card can have a lot of texture. The back is perfect for jotting down a note, an I LOVE YOU, or "remember to double check your work."
Link your card up using Mr. Linky on the PMS Blog. Online galleries, use Keyword: makeup4theweekend01.
Be sure to stop by tomorrow for a Sherrod Studio Challenge and a Starving Artistamp Blog hop. As always, free rubber giveaways!!
