Christmas with Pizzaz!

This is actually the first card I created using the new sets by Sherrod Studio.  Today is the day that you can go order them!  And be sure to check out the blog for a chance of winning one of these sets.  I thought these funky trees needed some funky color to them too!  I think my youngest sister would love this card!  And yes, acrylic stamps wonderfully well!  No missed spots as with some of my rubber stamps.

Friday Freebie!

Remember, today is Friday...and Paper Makeup has posted a new digi word art...yours for the taking!!

(Challenges:  SC246, LSC238)

Go Batty!

I received Starving Artistamps' latest release earlier this week.  Costume Party coordinates great with past Halloween sets.  Not only that, but some of these images can be used year round.

I used Paper Temptress papers for this card.  The base is make from RC100 Burgundy paper...very sturdy...great for a base of a card.  Other papers include:  Sparkle (noir and orange), Champagne CS which is like parchment paper  only thicker and vellum. I love putting a vellum mat on things...clear to see through but something a little extra to look at.  For more information, check out Paper Temptress' blog.

Day 2...ready for some Christmas Baking??

Here are a couple of cards made from the Baked Fresh set now being released by Sherrod Studio...

For this tag card, I used a Sizzix die and cut the tag out with the fold of the card just inside the cutting lines of the die.  So when you open it, you will have plenty of room to write a note or jot down a simple recipe!

Be sure to check out the Sherrod Blog for more sneak peeks and a chance to win a newly released set!  Did you know that there are 3 Christmas sets this year.  And if you live in a tropical area, be sure to check out the waterskiing Santa!!

Sherrod Studio's September Release

Just in time for Christmas!  Sherrod Studio has a fun set of releases...perfect for CHRISTMAS!  Time gets so short the closer you get to December 25th that you need to start early!
Admittedly, I'm new to clear stamps. There are rubber lovers and clear stamp lovers.  But I'm bridging the divide.  Stamping the solid images was awesome!!  I loved the sharp images..perfection!  No missed spots! These new stamps are available for purchase on 9/19th!  Be sure to post on the company blog and the other designers' blog.  You can find links in my sidebar.  One lucky stamper is going to win a new release!

Get Well Wishes

This is a card I sent to a stamper friend of mine...well the husband of a stamper friend...since I heard he had been ill.  I don't have much in the way of manly sets so I went with this sandy haired boy with his castle.  This man lives in Southern CA so I think sand is appropriate year round!

Tomorrow is the next Sherrod Studio Release.  Be sure to check back!  I'm getting my posts ready

Bootiful Halloween Stamps by Paper Makeup

Surprise!  In case you didn't know, Paper Makeup is releasing a special group of Hallween stamps!  And you thought that you had to wait until the next release for new PMS! haha.  Be sure to leave a comment on each designer's blog for a change to WIN ALL THE MONSTERS!  (Winner to be drawn by a random integer selector.)  Did you get her from Lisa M's blog?  If not, check out all the ghoulish treats starting from the beginning!
I used the Dream Big swirls for the background on this card.  I think these will be great for all sorts of things...Halloween, Christmas, New Years, Fairies, Monsters...Very versitile...which is what I look for in new stamps.  Here the jack o lanterns are "Os for a frightful message.  I used some really snazzy...or should I say "sparkley" set of Papers from Papter Temptress.   The Sparkle paper in Noir and Orange are just perfect for the glimmer of Halloween mystery.  Although a camera didn't capture it here, you can always buy a few sheets for yourself to impress friends and family!  Now...off you go to Kim S's blog...she is always sure to have great eye candy!

Flap Cards....PMS Monday challenge

Paper Makeup is challenging YOU to create a flap card today.  Simple and cute!  Splitcoast has an "easy to follow" tutorial on their site.   The inside of my card is lined with white paper and a stripe of the magma-like dp...which is also ooozing from that volcano.  Be sure to post your design with Mr. Link on the Paper Makeup Blog.  Did you get their Friday Freebie?  Only a few more days before it's gone!!

Corrosive Challenge Blog by Janet presents...

A sketch!  Yeah...don't you just LOVE sketches!
I used Starving Artistamps' Into the Woods for this card.  I think the birds are "tweet" and so are the musical notes.  Using daubers, I distressed/aged/shaded the edges of the guava cs to match the green Basic Grey main panel.

After you've completed your desing, post it to the Corrosive Challenge Blog using Mr. Linky and the keyword code is CCBJ29 for online galleries. Janet always has a sweet treat for one lucky stamper!
