It is OFFICIAL...

Yep...I am pleased, very pleased, to announce that I am officially on the Starving Artistamps design team.  After much drooling, oohing, aahing, and  yakking about the fun stamps you can buy at Starving Artistamps, Tracey has invited me to be a part of the doodlicious fun!

I have a couple of  cards that I created this evening that will be posted soon.  And, if you didn't read all the news, hop on over to the company blog to meet Jenn McMillan who is also joining the team at this time.  New stamps will be released soon...so keep your googlie eyes peeled for them!

What Happens Inbetween Cards

Well, real life! haha.  Yesterday I baked bread. While at my parents' house the other week, a friend of hers had dropped off  a "still warm loaf of bread."  It smelled heavenly.  And although it was 90+ degrees, I cooked up some beef veggie soup b/c nothing else would be so good with that bread!  It smelled like donuts. No joke.  (Glad we had  AC!!)  I raved and snarfed it up so much that Mom called her friend and asked for the directions.  As luck would have it, Carole does not use cups and tablespoons.  So I had to wing it as I tried to replicate it.  Also, her recipe makes FIVE loaves. And since I did not want to waste that much if I couldn't get it right, I tried halving the recipe.
So, yes, One loaf is misshaped and the other is huge...but they and the rolls were delicious!
A couple of weeks ago, my garbage disposal was not cooperating.  Ken fixed it a few times but then, couldn't get it to start back up again.  And without hassle, he bought a new one to replace it. In fact, he took the boys to shop for it and had them "help" him.  (Hmmm...kitchen floor, kitchen floor, kitchen floor.)   Here they are in the kitchen, doing man stuff...although, when he noticed I had the camera, he had them all run and grab a screwdriver. Ken sure likes posed pictures.
Now, #1 likes to act posed in pix too. Here he is...Mover over Cindy Sherman!
After my parents moved into my grandparents' home, we were gifted this end table which now sits in our foyer.  Back in the winter, I had set up some cards from friends. Then #1 son set out all his pinewood derby models for a time.  At one point, #2 and #3 had some of their creations.  But today, I figured, #3 needed to show case his lego models.
So, while Dad and #1 were working, #3 was busy organizing these guys.  I love it when the kids help decorate the house.

Your Next Stamp...a new company

I was just browsing around the internet...since our Friday Party ended early today. And I came across a new stamp company with delighful images! Your Next Stamp just might be my VERY NEXT stamp!

But hey...if you are looking to save some money...don't look at Your Next Stamp' Caketastic set. Okay, so it has a different name. I just like that sentiment! haha.

I'm just looking for school to start so I can get a little more stamp time in. The weather is the pits around here...we're not even lounging around the pool this August. Come on school bells! haha

Friday Freebie!

Today is Friday...and to get your weekend rolling, Paper Makeup Stamps has issued another free digi quote! Be sure to roll on over there some time this week before you miss out on another free digi quote.

Yesterday, my birthday nesties from my parents arrived in my mail box! (Thanks Mom and Dad!) I thought this shape was so "Eastern" that I had to use Penelope again.

I coupled some shimmery papers by Paper Temptress with the Eastern -feel of a Basic Grey Print to create this gate-fold card. The image and seniment lift up. (That is why I had to prop the card up on a stand!) Penelope's gold shirt was colored in with a sakura pen. The wings were stamped on Paper Temptress acetate and then dusted with Dazzling Diamonds.

Finally...

I stamped...and on Sunday! haha (Thanks, Ken!)

Today's Paper Makeup Challenge is a layout. Ooh! Love layouts and this one was super fun and creative. I just had to make it a 5 inch square.

A baby circle dino that I think my baby brother needs to send to his injured momma! (Which makes this word for Janet's Corrosive Challenge...jungle animals. I think a dino counts!)

Then I popped over to the CAS29 challenge. I was inspired by this fringe-y bag and thought of Sherrod Studio's Mr. Gobbler here. The layout was taken from The Sweetest Thing Blog Sketch Challenge #32.

I'm off...today is E's Birthday Party...STAR WARS themed! So much to do and so little time...as usual!
