PMS Monsters

Paper Makeup Stamps has some cuddly monsters. They are so sweet, perhaps they should have a different name. Nonetheless, here is my sneak peek for one monster who is on his way to (or from) school! This one comes with 2 sentiments. Gotta love that!

Here is the list of other designers who are presenting monsters today:

Katie, Kim, Lisa K, Dawn K, Tangii, Meli, Christi, Mindy, Jamie, Dawn W, Shaela, Dawn B, Lisa M, Tina

OH WAIT...isn't that ALL of the designers? Well, feel free to hop to the PMS blog or click on individual blogs which you can find in the left hand column of my blog!

Now remember, you will be able to see all of the new releases, have some fun challenges, get to chat with stampers and have the opportunity to win some of the releases on July 7th!

Are you Analog or Digital??

Don't be an analog stamper! Get digital with this month's release!! (Scroll down to the previous post. I updated my card and added more orange flowers. Should have added them originally.)

Digis and Diecuts

I'm still a newbie when it comes to digis. And while I enjoy rubber (and now clear stamps by Sherrod Studio), I know that you gotta go with the flow sometimes. And the trends in stamping these days is digis. So to get some ideas, I posed this challenge for Friday's LSC challenge on Splitcoast:

Digis and Diecuts!!

What can you do with them...and NO STAMPING!

This sentiment is an early sneak peek of a Paper Makeup Stamps July release. In fact, all of the July release are DIGIS! So if you don't have a digi stamp, you can always type up a fun quote for this challenge too...or find some free digis out there. Dustin Pike has had some on his blog in the past.

Meanwhile, here I used paper from the Paper Temptress! The white is Heavenly White Premium Ultrasmooth Cardstock. The green is Pop gumdrop Green. Interestingly enough, the watermelon is dual sided. So I simply flipped the center oval on the flower diecut to show the mango side of the paper. It's quite thick. I love it! (It's called Sorbet Duplex.)

I lucked out b/c I had the perfect dual sided ribbon which matched the colors! Ooh lala. Love it when paper and ribbon match up! haha

(EDITED: Added more orange flowers to this card to show off the awesome dual sided paper sold by Paper Temptress. Should have done that from the start! haha. But all the flowers, large and small are cut from the same sheet of paper! How versitile is that!!)

Ready for more sneak peeks?

When it rains, it pours sometimes. New stamps are always great though! And now we'll turn some time over to Paper Makeup Stamps. July 7th will be the release day for July's all-star digi release! First up...the fairies want to strut their stuff! Here is Shelbie who would make a delightful birthday card for a one or two year old! Good thing a few of my sisters are still in baby-making mode...b/c I can send some to upcoming neices!

Her smock has been stickle-fied!

Be sure to check out the company blog for more fairy sneak peeks today!

Cupcake Line Up celebrating Sherrod Studio

I couldn't resist using this cream topped cupcakes for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS. This image comes from a new set called "Birthday Ella" from Sherrod Studio. I used tons of sparkle...glitter glue, stickles, kalidescope EP, stickles and rhinestones. Wowee!

And the winner is...

We've just returned home from errands and the library and I remembered that I forgot to pull a name. So, the winner of the fairy nice prize is #2!

#2...

Mybearybest

Soon this fairy will be fluttering into your mailbox! Keep your eyes open. Fairies can be ellusive!

BUT...I want to send some treats to Stephanie and terriavidreader (IN-USA). Please send me your name/addy to dawnmercedes at hotmail dot com and I will be sure that you will have some fairy happy mail too!

Sherrod Studio's Grand Opening!!

Today is the day we've been waiting for...the Grand Opening of Sherrod Studio!!

You will just fall in love with the detail and sweetness of these stamps. Each set has so many accessories and sayings that you will be able to use these stamps over and over for so many occasions.

In other sneak peeks, you have seen the above image with 2 kids in the sand. (The set is called By the Seashore.) I masked off the little girl and inserted the sand castle propped up on dimensionals for some depth.

Here is a detail so you can see the sparkly stickle-fied sand.

Be sure to post your thoughts and then hop on through the other designers' blogs to see what they have for your viewing pleasure. (One of us has a prize to give away so be sure to post a comment on each one!) Then stop by Sherrod Studio and order some stamps! Free shipping for a full week! I love free shipping. That means you can order one more thing without noticing.

Goodies in the mail

Yesterday, my DD was eager to get the mail. All morning she questioned when the mail would arrive. When she finally brought the mail to me, I was the one who was delighted. Among the store ads and lego magazines, my stamps from Sherrod Studios arrived. Three delighful sets! Wowee! I just love all the accent images and sentiments...not to mention the cutie, cute, cute kids!

These images come from the Gracie set which is a stamp set whose procedes will be donated to a charity. The Christmas Box International's Lifestart program is a program that helps children who were in foster homes and starting out on their own. It's just fantastic when stampers can have fun with their hobby and give back. Be sure to put this stamp set into your shopping cart tomorrow, July 1st, when the Sherrod Studio is officially OPEN FOR BUSINESS! (Be sure to check out the other designers' blogs for sneak peeks...some prizes are being given away this week!)

I thought I'd make this card simple for the CAS21 challenge...add sparkle. So the balloons are stickle-fied! Be sure to stop by tomorrow for another delightful sneak peek of another new set. Not only that..but today is the last day for my blog candy give away. I am surprised that there is only one participant so far! Did I make it too hard for you? Well, you gotta work a little bit but whoever receives Sprout in the mail will surely be a happy stamper! (Scroll down for challenge details or click a link in the right hand column.)

Sherrod Studios Sneak Peek #2

Today is the second day of Sneak Peeks! So be of with you...comment on all the blogs..and keep your fingers crossed that my own stamps come soon! hehe.

Faux Silk

Not sure what it is? Well, head on over to Splitcoaststampers' Resource page for a great tutorial. Paper Makeup Stamps wants to see what you create using this (more rare) technique.

Since the texture was so interesting, I left a lot of it when I glued the tissue paper down. Then, I decided to make mine with bright colors for Thursday's WT color challenge so I am glad to be able to post it now! When you post yours, be sure to use the keyword: PMSMC17. AND...remember... I'm serving up blog candy. Today is the day to use your PMS stamps on a challenge or any stamps on a PMS challenge to get into the running. Post your entries HERE. Tuesday night is the deadline. You have 2 more days to get this done!

Dazzling Diamonds

Today's DRS Designs challenge is to use Dazzling Diamonds on your card. (Use the keyword: DRSC24 when uploading it to online galleries.) Most of you know, Dazzling Diamonds is a super fine and super shimmery glitter. Which is also super difficult to photograph!

In real life, the planets and stars on this card are shimmery and glittery! I used my 2 way glue pen for the adhesive. The DRS Designs' Hello sentiment was one that I couldn't fit into any of my past DRS cards. I decided that this card, probably being the last one I make as a Guest Designer, would showcase the small sentiment. To give it a bigger punch, I repeatedly stamped until it turned into a background. Used a fun nestie to cut out the shape..and voila! My mission is completed.

Well, not quite. Today, DRS Designs is sponsering the Pink Elephant Challenge Blog...use your favorite color on a card. RED is by far my favorite color. As you can see, I've used it on this card. Be sure to dazzle up your favorite color with dazzling diamonds...and enter you challenge card on both of these fun sites!

Pocket full of challenges...

This weekend, Paper Makeup Stamps is hosting a challenge blog. Yes, that's right..ANOTHER chance to win my blog candy!! Stampin' for the Weekend is a fairly new challenge blog. This weekend, make a pocket card!

I tried to get a better photograph of this one...not sure if it's better. But in real life, it's Ad-roar-ble!!
