I love using acetate and seeing acetate cards, but they are tricky to photograph. (Please forgive the glare.) This card is so elegant and soft and pretty. After all those manly golf cards, I thought it was time to make a girlie card! The pink card from is embossed. Then, the acetate layer followed by the sentiment on top! Yep...acetate is my favorite sort of card!

DRS Designs is hopping today!
Be sure to start at the beginning of the blog hop...and procede to the end as you comment on the designers' blogs. The blog candy drawing will take place at 7 AM EST on Saturday.
This week I've been showcasing Golf Cards. Here is a new sentiment to stamp for a coworker who is retiring in the summer. (Which would be a lot if you lived here in poor, old Michigan! haha)
When using a long quote, highlighting words can draw the reader's attention to the point you want to make. It is something I enjoy doing. DRS Designs has oodles of quotes and sentiments perfect for this technique. In fact, today DRS Designs is sponsering today's Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog. Check it out and show your DRS spirit by using some DRS Designs Stamps on your card. If you don't have any, check out their online store!
Now...off you go to Jessica's blog. Have a great weekend!

Random Cards
This was a quickie created for a baby shower. This mother just had a baby girl after 2 boys! So PINK was definitely the color to use. (Starving Artistamps)
Christine P, who I work with for Divine Secret Sisters on SCS, just graduated. I sent this to her to conGRADulate her. (Bella and DRS Designs)
Another cyber stamping friend of mine just let me know that she is pregnant!! I sent this card celebrate her good news. (Starving Artistamps)
Saddly, another cyber friend just lost a baby during her pregnancy. This chipper card was sent to put a smile on her face. Ever time I see that sullen robot I have to smile back! (Starving Artistamps)
Lately, I am making lists of who needs a card for what reason. Keeps me busy and I enjoy making cards based on a specific person or event. Ken fixed the dishwasher last night...for free! Yeah!! So I definitely need to figure out what sort of stamp would be appropriate for dishes/dishwashing! haha. Boy, did he just make my life easier. Thanks Ken. And my SIL just announced the sex of her baby...so that definitely needs a PINK card too! (And those are just 2 on my list.) So many cards and summer is coming...haha. Maybe I can get one of these done while four little kiddies run amuk all over the house! What are the chances of that happening? haha

Gift Card and Note Holder for Dear Old Dad...
Sometimes those men in your life are hard to buy gifts for. So...you resort to giving them a gift card to their favorite restaurant or shop. How to present it? Well...here is a nifty way to send him the card along with a personal note about how much he means to you!
This month, DRS Designs is releasing several golf stamps. If your man is into the game, be sure to check out the new stamps all this week in sneak peeks on the design team blogs.
The outside is a piece of cardstock that measures 4.25 x 11 inches. Score at 1.5 and 6.25. My insert measures 4x4 inches square. This will give you plenty of space to write a special note to a loved one.
Embellish all layers as you wish. A velcro dot is used to secure the top flap. This would also be great for end of the year teacher notes and gift cards...if your kids are still in school, like mine! Or soccer/baseball coach appreciation note and gift card. Boy, the uses for this gift card and note holder are endless!
Remember, the DRS Blog hop starts on Thursday. Comment on all the cards along the way and you will be entered into the drawing for fun and treasures!!

PMS's Monday Challenge!
This week's challenge is to use anything CLEAR or SEE-THROUGH on your card. Well, I do love acetate cards but they are so difficult to photograph. Instead, I made an acetate cover for the outside of this card.
The sentiment is adhered with glue dots on top of the acetate. The gold cording keeps the card together. Adding a little cover can make a card more refined and elegant. Can't wait to see what everyone else does. Be sure to post your creation on the Paper Makeup Stamps' Blog using Mr. Linky. If you use other galleries, you can use the keyword: PMSMC14.
(Keep reading to see the DRS Design's June sneak peeks. You can order them starting on June 13th!)
Another week, another stamp company has sneak peeks!
haha. I'm not a golfer. (My Brookside HS Golf story would be too long to relate and then I'd only be disparaging the Physical Education Department of my alma mater.) But that doens't mean I can't make a great golf card! This stamp would make an awesome edition to a scrapbook page!
Come back tomrrow for another round of GOLF...or at least the card kind of golf! Circle June 11th on your Stamp Calendars! DRS Designs is having a blog hop...prize awarded on the 13th...when you can start purchasing these new releases!
Also...the Corrosive Blog Challenge is to make a card for Dad. If you dad golfs, then this would be a good one for Father's Day!

5:30 PM...in CASE of PMS
I hope PMS decides to do a CASE Challenge regularly! It's so fun to see what other people make. But when you actually DO something you've seen, you learn more about stamping and paper crafting. Keyword: PMSRP09.
4:30 CST...PMS Sketch Challenge
I love the dots, the checks, the red... And of course...the shimmer and shine of stickles on the wings and fairy accessories! The keyword for this challenge is: PMSRP08.
3:30 CST...PMS Color Challenge
I thought the colors went well with this quote from "Nature's Release." It reads: Faith is the bird that sings when the dawn is still Dark. After embossing the Night of Navy, I used stickles to glitterfy the swirls. It's so lovely in person! Let's see what you can do with this color combo!! Be sure to use the keyword: PMSRP07 when uploading it to a gallery.
Today's the day...
Today's grand unveiling is of the FAIRIES!
The beginning of this blog hop is on Paper Makeup's blog. Be sure to stop at all the designers' blogs to gather the letters to find out what 2 new categories wll be appearing on the PMS store site!!
(The ribbon is actually hunter green which I couldn't get to photograph correctly.)
Two of the fairies this month were named after the owner Katie and the head of the DT, Christi. This fairy is Christi's. Isn't she totally sweet? (As I am writing this, I must have been anticipating this stamp yesterday when I was grocery shopping b/c E* and I bought a big bag of Michigan cherries. Yummy!) I love that she has a matching sentiment. Don't you love this company? It keeps on getting better and better! Thanks Katie!
is my letter for the secret code! Have fun on the blog hop. Collect all the letters and you have just earned yourself a 10% discount in the PMS store. Cha-ching! Your next step is Dawn K's blog. (Yep, there are 3 of us named Dawn on this team...Go Dawns! If we had a fairy stamp she would be very sunny indeed! haha) The June Release Party starts at 3-6pm CST. There will be fun and chatter and stamping! I love the new challenge and I think that you will too! See you in the PMS forum this afternoon!!
