Quick post

Ken decided at 3:15 that they would indeed travel down to Ohio to attend the Father/Son Camp out with my Dad and Brother. Needless to say, that gave me 20 minutes to gather supplies before C got off the bus. Luckily, Ken gave me an hour before speeding off. Dad is really excited and I know that they will all have a blast. B/c they are boys who like to camp. Meanwhile, I set M up on my new laptop...while I did some stamp uploads. hehe.

This card was created Monday night. It was fast and really turned out super! Boy, don't we wish cards could be stamped out that fast. Trick? SOLID STAMPS...and a good placement of objects.

Today's LSC challenge was to make a Beachy card. Limits of only beachy images, one beach sentiment and ONE embellishment. I went with eyelets for my embellishment. And...the sentiment is from Starving Artistamps. As for beachy images...not sure that the images work after all. But they are from "Sparklin Summer" which is a very beachy set!

Now, to find my Blockbuster gift card so McK and I can go rent a girlie movie!

Sketch challenge...

To my surprise, Roxie chose one of my (old, old) cards as the example for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS What a fun honor!

Tonight is the season finale of LOST (A school play and Girl Scouts before that). While I have tons to do, I'm going to weasel stamping into my day today!! Thanks Roxie!

Making your stamps....S-T-R-E-T-C-H...

As big as our eyes are for rubber stamps, most of our wallets are probably not big enough to buy everything that we see. The solution is to make what you do have...STRETCH. Find new uses, new techniques, new ideas, etc.

One thing that I do is to take a look at the details. For example, this stamp is such a quirky, funny little guy.

Not much to crop or stretch? But look closely. That #1 fan glove is just itching to be the star of a card. With the magic of ink and repeated stamping....hehe...you can easily make a card like this:

We use paper and ink and scissors. So pick up those scissors and cut away...until you come up with a new point of view for your stamped cards!

I can get a birthday boy sitting anywhere I chose when I cut off the gift he is sitting on.

Take a look at your stamps by DRS Designs and see how you can STRETCH their use!

PMS Sparkly Monday Challenge

Today's PMS challenge is to be sparkly, glittery, shiney. If it flashes, put it on your card!

I can just hear the oohs and aahs from here! haha Now for a close up pix of the sparkly-ness!

First I stamped and embossed the Princess fairy. Masked her so the flutterbys could be added. Then, after cu tting my layer to size, I smooshed it into my Versamark pad. Then I added Kaleidoscope EP and fired it up! Ooh lala! (Keyword: PMSMC11)
