Digistamp challenge

Rainy and Cloudy today...hard to snap a pix. But this is a (limited) digi stamp that will soon be available to buy (in rubber) from Papermakeupstamps.com. My first attempt to use a digi stamp. Since I typically watercolor, I went with colored pencils for this one...but they were Watercolor pencils..so I still used a tiny bit of water!

The green card base is on a chocolatechip square...thus the funny brown layer. Just wish it were sunnier for a better pix. The DP and the ribbon are not the same color in real life.

(Yes, I changed up my card since I originally posted it. I didn't like the mustard layer or the ribbon. So vellum replaced the mustard and I jazzed up the card using colored twine...much better.)

One! One Card for Christmas...

As "The Count" would say on Sesame Street! hahaha! (zap!!)

This was made for the sketch challenge...and a "use an animal on a christmas card" challenge put on by The Corrosive Challenge Blog. Though I see that DJUseless has posted on it too. We are starting to run around on the same circles! haha.

This was a bit of a challenge for me since I don't add layers at an angle. And the mousies image was stamped out by Stacy/twinshappy. Thanks Stacy!

(BTW, click on the pix for a bigger size...to see all the little details.)

Yellow Boots

I am a fan of CAS cards...esp when they are quick. I thought up this idea based on the CAS sketch challenge late on Sunday night. Between cleaning, family, husband, more all day fieldtrip, Spring cleaning while I babysat while DH worked from home...yep...NO STAMP TIME.

THis was quickly stamped in the 3 craft ink colors that I own...summer sun, brocade blue and garden green. I love garden green! Add a few dimensionals to the boots and rhinestones to the flowers...a masterpiece of simplicity!

For the Bunnies in a Bungalow and cupcakes for me!

Today, the Easter treats from Granny and Papa arrived. E* was eager to open the package but had to wait until after the older two arrived home from school. Everyone loves the books that they send! E* got a terrific archeology set. He just started digging into that kit with gusto and fervor. He was determined to get all the treasures out today.
M* really wanted to help out too. And E* didn't even mind all the dust and coughing that went along with the sandy dust. Just kept hacking away. Then he added water...to make to faster. That is actually when I said he had to stop...and take a break for the day. M*, the yogini, received a yoga book and fairy address organizer. She set about changing into her yoga wear and dragged out the yoga mat.

When her very flexible friend came over a little later, we had two yogis doing their thing! C*, the book worm, got "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and read it in a couple of hours. I told him I'd send it back to Granny and she could mail it to the next cousin. (haha...jokingly of course.)

THANK YOU EASTER BUNNY!! We love you!

Then, my neighbor who must be part Easter bunny too, came hopping across the lawn. With a pan of cupcakes,

thank card for the cinnamon rolls I had taken over there on Saturday AND...TWO NEW WILTON JELLY ROLL pans!
Wahoo! My recipe makes 4 sheets of rolls. I have two new/good pans and two old/really bad pans. So either the neighbors REALLY like the rolls, or R* is tired of scrubbing my old pans when they show up with rolls. (Sorry...but they were the better looking set of rolls when 7pm rolled around!)

You know what that calls for...MORE ROLLS!...maybe those Danishes Mom wants me to try my hand at! Thanks R*!! Here's the card...isn't it nice!

TLC Challenge...

I have ALWAYS wanted to figure out how to make a never ending card...yet I have never taken the time to do so. Today's TLC challenge was to make one. And boy, is it EASY...if you have a good teacher!

This card is hard to photograph and I simply do not have the time to sit around making it look wonderful. But it looks awesome in person. Now E* wants to go make one for himself. Which of course, we will! Beats him clicking away on the "ptr" as he spells it. (Computer for those who do not read phoenetically, self included.) The last view is the "back" which I left blank...so I could actually use it and write on it!

Getting ready for Easter!

Paper Makeup Stamps posts a challenge each Monday. Today's challenge is to make an Easter Basket. Mine is more of a box.

I used the Scallop Envelope die by Sizzix to make 3 sides of the box. The last side is CS cut to 5.25 x 3.25. Of course Sprout needs an egg...which is by Starving Artistamps...to hid in the box! Fill it will sweets or an egg or two and you'll be ready for easter too.

The next day...

What a difference a day makes...

As we were driving home this afternoon from church, it started to snow...

And snow...

Too bad Ken put away the sleds and snow shovels yesterday...enough said.
