Funny

E just walked in here and said:

"Let's do a pattern. take a bath, then don't take a bath. take a bath, then don't take a bath. take a bath, then don't take a bath. take a bath, then don't take a bath. take a bath, then don't take a bath. take a bath, then don't take a bath. take a bath, then don't take a bath. take a bath, then don't take a bath. take a bath, then don't take a bath. take a bath, then don't take a bath. It's a pattern. Can I do a pattern? A,B,A,B,A...no...like C, S, C, S...or T, N, T, N..."

SERIOUSLY....
he wants it to be the "not take a bath" day...today.

Masculine card

My "down the street" neighbor asked me to make an appreciation/thank you card for their den leader. Always happy for a reason to make a card for someone else, this is what I came up with:

On the verge...

I'm on the verge of calling myself a stamp artist.

While I have several "irons in the fire" as my grandmother would say, today I was the SCS Limited Supplies Hostess. As already posted, I have made a few cards using black as the background...meaning to keep an expanse of blackness on the card as well as make the other colors POP!

That is exactly what today's challenge was.

Well, the house is picked up so I'm going to take a few minitues to design a new card for the challenge.

ADDED:

I took my own challenge today:

These "non parils" were small embellies that I bought this week...a little splurge of $2... since I really do want to be watching my pennies!

double challenge...

Finally took myself away from the phone and computer...

I have embossed gold around the edges of the top note and the main vanilla BG...not sure that it shows up well in the pix.

Monkeying around!

Well, Ken was out of town for 5 days this weekend. His brother was getting married in AZ and we couldn't afford the entire family to fly out in a week's notice. I was going to take the kids to my parents' home in Ohio. But the weather and roads were not good so we stayed and played here. Friday was a snowday/cold day as I think I posted. I made one card that day, and then I made this one later in the day:

This card is one of those 3D shadowbox type cards.

I am going to send it to a little girl who I know through Girl Scouts who is having some health issues right now. I really can't imagine being unhealthy as a child. It must be scary and worrisome for the parents and the entire family.

But of course, the kids saw this monkey card, and then wanted to see the other cards I had made for Starving Artistamps last week. Which of course, were mailed to the company. haha. So we just might have monkey fever around here. It's a good thing that Valentine's Day is coming up. It's not a holiday with Santa or the Easter Bunny. So I can actually give them something *I* made for them! hehe.

You know, that DoodleFactory comes up with some funtastic things. And...they are always producing new things! (wink*wink*)

Tattoo M*

DD non verbally asked to put on a tattoo...by showing me the little box of tattoos. I said fine...but of course then that should have been "no." Only....after the fact...when she showed it to me on her forehead. Wonder what her teacher is going to say when she shows up for school tomorrow. M* is hoping for a snow day. haha. (Edited: Not b/c of the tattoo...just b/c she doesn't want to go back. It was a nice 5 day weekend...notwithstanding a few situations.)
