New Release! New Starving Artistamp Release!!

Okay, okay...being a mother means that you get awoken in the middle of the nights...

So while I was tending to things...I checked my email, of course.

Starving Artistamps has a new release...with a bonus too. Buy their new set of "Santa's Sweet Shoppe" and receive the sentiment set FOR FREE.

As I commented on the ST blog...These stamp images really tell a story! I love the large size. Not only that...I have been wanting a gingerbread man, Santa AND elves.

Now, if I could just get that Reindeer from the ST Winter set without having to buy the entire page, well...that would be the cherry on top! (Or, should I say, the star on my Christmas tree?) Oh...so...I guess you are waiting for the link...hehe. Click here to see the entire sweet new page of images. And remember, although it has been a gorgeous fall, it will be cold all too soon and you'll need some new rubber to curl up with inside!

PS. Seriously, go checkout the entire page of stamps. Feel free to sign up for blog candy while you are there too!

FOUND!

My little sister...djuseless...found me.

I sent her a pile of Starving Artistamp Images and the 20% off code. So enabled, she thought to check the SCS gallery...saw some of my stuff. And for whatever reason, after seeing this card:

thought that *I* must be her big sis. Now seriously, I don't think I sent that card to you, Diane. Did I? It's been a fun round and I'm glad that I have such a smart Little Sis!

PS. I hope the StarvingArtistamp fairy sees this post! I'd be an asset to your team.

PPS. Little sis said she recognized my style. I've got style!! LOL

More from UHU Glue...a project

Along with the roller glue, UHU sent me a terrific clipboard to embellish as I saw fit. I enjoy making clipboards. In the past, my clipboards have been the standard size. The clipboard from UHU was 6x9 inches (approximately); a good size...not too big, not too small. But what would I do with it?

I had several ideas through out the month: Christmas advent calendar, Chore Chart, picture frame/board, Gratitude Wall hanging. But I settled on a Wish List holder for Santa Claus. Each year, my kids will be able to write a list and clip it to the board so that Santa and all of his Elves can keep up with their wishes.

These silver snowflakes were embossed!

ARG! Turn your head to the right to see this correctly! More embossing. Every Christmas project needs a bit of glitz!

Typically, I use modgepodge to adhere the paper. But since this is a UHU project, I got out my Scrapbookers Pen that I had received a few months ago. It is a jelly like glue in a nibbed pen. To my delight, it worked even better than modge podge. It was not messy at all. (Modgepodge can be a mess!!) The jelly-like consistency helped as I wiggled and adjusted the paper to fit just right. The paper didn't stick like the other adhesive.

Again, I used the UHU glue roller to adhere the thin letters together. But then they and the bird were glued down using the scrapbookers glue pen.

While my kids might be dreaming of lego sets, walkie talkies and pogo sticks, I'll be hoping that santa brings me a few more scrapbookers pens and glue rollers from UHU!!

UHU Glue Roller

I received a Glue Roller by UHU last month to try, test and evaluate. Yipee! I love trying new products. An when I saw what was in store for October, I knew just what a wanted to use it for.

Months ago, you may have read my Sizzix Bigkick/Cuttlebug dilemma...haha. I know, I know. We all want those sort of dilemmas. Now I have traded and aquired several dies to go through the Bigkick. But, as you probably know, those dies are SMALL...TINY...SUPER LITTLE. And I didn't have the right glue to keep things tidy.

When I made this card last month, it was pretty hard to get the vines glued neatly. And if you look closely, you can see residual glue. Ugh.

The UHU glue roller is a Micro-Dot System with an "instant permanent bond...acid free." I found that it was perfect for my itty bitty pieces. Remember to put a piece of scrap paper under your die cut. Wheel the glue roller. Then adhere the die cut to your project.

I'd like to say magical! haha. In this Happy Birthday Card, the die cut letters are incredibly small. But the Glue Roller saved the day.

So, whent his roller runs out, you can be sure that I will be picking up a few extras for my die cut pieces. Coming up in the next day or two...the other 1/2 of my October review!

And, by the way, today is our Yogini Friend's bday. So this card went with a gift ensemble:

Time to Celebrate...

I don't know,
But I've been told;
Today is

NATIONAL HOMEMAKER'S DAY

But since I read it on Splitcoast, that might just be a stamper's way of getting in more stamp time. I'm willing to propogate this holiday!
