Hut Sweet Hut

So...I am hoping that my mom and dad have already received this card that I made them ... to welcome them into their new home.

Made from Starvingartistamp...Doodlefactory stamps. Today my neighbor said that they need to give me a bonus or discount for all the stampers who I have introduced to their line of stamps. haha. Wouldn't that be nice! But I'd settle on a nice spot on their design team. Actually, the company is going to be at a stamp/scrap expo in Novi, MI next weekend. I'd really love to go...but I'd also like to go with someone. I guess we'll see.

I have another neighbor down the street who is a Yogini. A female yoga teacher. We've spent the summer lounging at the pool while the boys and 1 girl frolicked. So earlier this week, I asked her, "What is the difference between yoga and pilates?" She has been telling me a bunch about yoga over the last few days. Today, she was in my living room and did a demonstration for me. Boy, is she awesome at it! Seriously. I was amazed. I tried a few of the "beginning" poses. But M* pretty much showed me up. Amy says she has a natural flexibility. Now M* wants to take a yoga class. Actually I thought I'd take a class while E* is in school but after seeing Amy's skill, I'm not too sure! haha. I'm no where as flexible as those two yoginis! Ken is just happy I'm talking about something other than rubber stamps. No...I'm pretty sure stamping is still going to be #1 around here.

A relaxed pose. Now M* and I will watch movies together...sitting like this...instead of lounging together on the couch...haha.

Something impressive with hand that are "bound."

Reverse Plank...I think...but she should be relaxing her neck so her head hangs down.

I am a WEINER! A WEINER!

YIPEE SKIPEE!

Seriously...fun, fun, fun!

I was just deleting emails when I saw a message from Starvingartistamps...directing me to Heidi's blog. Now I have certainly checked this blog 3 times a day for the last week hoping to see my name. haha...AND THERE IT WAS! Thank you to Tracey for giving me the nudge to check it out again tonight!

And boy...I might just have to break down and buy the 2nd half of the Tropics set. One of my cyber stamping friends and I went halvies on it. Of course, McK* was miffed that we weren't getting the pirate, treasure chest, sand castle, jet ski, flag and penguin...the penguin! haha. It was just not fair to her!

I love the sentiment: Be still and listen. B/c that's probably the phrase that should be stamped and sent to me on a card...haha.

And E* and M* need that "You're the peanut to my jelly" phrase. Read back if you missed that over heard silly!

Thanks a bunch Heidi and Tracey! These will be well loved...and INKED!

Limited Supply Challenge...again

I am hostessing this week's Limited Supply Challenge. Feel free to play along here.

Many families are looking at the calendar and thinking about going back to school. When you send you loved ones off, why not send them a nice thought in the middle of the day too. I stick notes and cards inside of my husband's and my kids' lunches on a frequent basis. While you are stocking up on school supplies, stock up on some ATC sized cards too.

Make an "ATC Card" to let a family member know you are thinking about them in the middle of the day. Then sneak it into their lunch box, laptop case, wallet, etc. You could lay it on their pillow or prop it up next to their mirror...whereever they are most likely to see it!

Dimensions:
For an ATC card...start with a paper that is 3.5 x 5 inches. Then fold it in half. Voila...an ATC card. If you want one that is slightly larger, try starting off with a quarter sheet of paper and folding it in half. This is a fun way to use up scraps of paper. Small images can become the focal point.

**Extra bonus points go out to those who use their dollar acrylic stamp sets that are just sitting in a drawer in your craft area!

So...I need to stock up on ATCs for the upcoming lunches. Though truthfully, I don't make them into cards....Just a one sided ATC. I can write on the back!

Memories...

Okay...I got this off my mom's blog. And I'm guessing that she started it after the conversations we had about memories over the last couple of days.

Here are the rules:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It does not matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It’s actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog/email and leave one about you.

Let's see what happens. Life is filled with memories. And blogging is one good way to write them down when WE remember them. This cute exercise might job our own memories.

Doodlefactory Cards...

Spring Card Challenge...

Today's TLC challenge was to make a spring card. Typically, the corners are cut off so that the front face of the card is a diamond. I left mine on so I had more canvas to work with!

This is my first card using the Tropics set by Starvingartistamps/Doodlefactory.
