IC129...

Right now...I have 9 kids here...and if you count the 3 that left at noon...I've had a total of 12 kids here throughout day. haha. And it is not even 2:30 pm yet!

Since everyone is blissfull playing...hehe...I decided to try my hand at the Saturday Challenge...Inspiration. I have never done it before. Here is the picture/advertisement that we were given to be inspired by:

Here is my card in which I used the grid technique. Now...I must go stock up the freezer with more icee pops...hoping that there was enough for them to begin with!

Night owl...

I am up late...

for a few reasons.

I was watching the finale for Grey's Anatomy and my mom called. Then I wanted to finish Grey's...while I organized my ribbon drawer. Then I wasn't finished with the drawer so I watched the Step it Up and Dance episode.

I then find myself so awake...that I might as well do the Friday challenge...No hardware. And where you would put hardware...stamp it.

The limited supplies challenge on Fridays are really not fun for me...too limiting. haha. But that's the whole challenge, right?

Of course, I messed up the borrow right corner...but it turned out okay in the end. The silver cording gives my card some glitz that it is missing b/c of the lack of hardware/brads/eyelets.

Now, I'm off to bed!

Manly Cards...

Today's challenge was: Masculine cards.

I HAD to have this set before it retired...and yet I think this is the first card I made from it. The twine gave me fits but I do like how it (eventually) turned out.

I actually made this card yesterday for my sister's new dog. She has 4 boys (one girl)...so it's appropriate for the challenge.

Of course my kids said, "It's not fair. EVERYONE has a dog but us." My friend M* said that her kids say the same thing. So see...there are a few dogless families. Besides. I'd rather be dogless than to own a cat! haha.

For a Stamper's Daughter

Tonight, before going to bed...haha and I'm not in bed yet...I decided to see if the Sketch Challenge had been posted. As lucky would have it, I got to the forum a minute after it was posted. Since DD and I have not been getting along all week, I had wanted to make her a special card. I ran down stairs to my stamping station and grabbed my Bella Fairy, a bag of baubles and some pretty pink/green paper and away I went.

Now I'm sure she's not going to be too impressed. If she were to be an animal, I'm sure she'd be one of those Siamese Cats from "The Lady and the Tramp." Ooh she can be so indifferent and flippant. And she's far too young to be like that. When I'm around her, she let's out the best of sighs and eye rolling...she could be 14 the way she carries on.

But she can be sweet and loving when she wants to be. Once in a while she'll write me little notes. She left a tootsie roll sucker in E's tent on Monday before school...much to his delight. So there is hope...I think.

Always took a long time...

Today's color challenge was to use the following colors:
soft sky
blue bayou
certainly celery

And this card, using the "Always" set, certainly took a long time to design! Well, it's done and I have to scurry to Brownies. We're off to the library for a field trip!
